Documents required for the registration of a vessel:

- Proof of ownership: A notarized sales contract or a gift deed.
- The deletion certificate (if previously registered)
- Certificate of seaworthiness: A certificate issued by a recognized surveyor or classification society.
- Photo engine plate & outside photos of the boat (especially where it bears its name)
- Photo of the hull number appearing on the boat & photo of CE plate
- Yacht’s operator passport/ID Card
- Owner’s Passport/ID Card
- Company Director’s Passport (in case of owning company)
- Radio operator’s license (mandatory)
- Sales Agreement or Bill of Sale
- Tonnage Certificate and/or Survey Report and/or Builder’s Certificate and/or CE Certificate and/or Boat’s Manual
- Any EU skipper’s license
- Precise name. model, serial number, CE number of the Radio Equipment onboard & EPIRB

- Insurance certificate: A certificate indicating that the boat is insured for liability and third-party risks.
- Proof of payment of taxes: Proof of payment of any applicable taxes or fees, such as value-added tax (VAT) or a tonnage tax
- Crew list: A list of the crew members and their qualifications
- An authorisation letter (we will prepare this)
 

Extra Services

 

MMSI Radio License – for VHF, AIS, radar and EPIRB

It is mandatory to have a valid MMSI / radio license on your boat so we recommend our boat owners to apply for a MMSI / Radio license when applying for the UK flag registration. The MMSI license permits the following equipment: VHF Radio, radar, epirb, transponder & radar and assigns the numbers needed to operate correctly. We can arrange a UK MMSI radio license for our clients. The cost is £200.
 

Greek company called NEPA (Maritime Company for Pleasure Yachts)
